 Stork, (family Ciconiidae), any of around 20 types of long-necked & feathered creatures establishing the family Ciconiidae (request Ciconiiformes), identified with the herons, flamingos, and ibises. Storks go from around 60 cm to in excess of 150 cm (2 to 5 feet) in stature. All or part of the head and upper neck might be uncovered of quills and brilliantly shaded. Storks are voiceless or about along these lines, for absence of a completely created syrinx (vocal organ), however some of them rattle their bills noisily when energized.
